The Why Store and Healing Sixes will be in concert in Broad Ripple at the Vogue. The Why Store was formed in the late 1980s in Muncie, Indiana, when bassist Greg Gardner and guitarist Michael David Smith, both Ball State University students, met up with Indianapolis drummer Graig Adams. After being joined a couple months later by lead singer Chris Shaffer, also a Ball State student, the band played a few gigs as Emerald City. Adams left Emerald City in 1991 and was replaced by drummer Charlie Bushor in 1992. That same year, the band switched to its present name, The Why Store, the name of a former Muncie haberdashery. IN 2000, Healing Sixes released their first CD, ” Maple”, and gained a lot of attention by bringing in Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Jason was Healing Sixes’ drummer for four years. Always putting the emphasis on the song, Healing Sixes is strong, vibrant, and never formulated. The awesome talent of all four memebers combined with years of experience makes the Healing Sixes simply riveting.
This Indianapolis concert will begin at 9:00pm at the Vogue, there is a $8 cover at the door
