LeAnn Rimes was merely an inexperienced innocent teen when she covered Patsy Cline’s “Your Cheatin’ Heart” on her 1999 self-titled album, but 10 years later Rimes’ life may be turning into a country song with her own beatin’ cheatin’ heart.
Furnished with explosive photographic and video evidence, Us Weekly was the first to report that Rimes cheated on her backup dancer husband, Dean Sheremet, with her costar Eddie Cibrian. The two met on the set of their upcoming Lifetime movie, Northern Lights. Cibrian, who is also married and has two kids, flatly denied the cheating allegations in a statement released to Access Hollywood on Wednesday. “It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship.”
Rimes didn’t exactly deny the affair as she took to her official Web site Wednesday to release a statement. “I would like to assure all of you that this is a place to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white.”
Ironically, this statement was posted next to a picture of her album cover entitled Family. To take that one step further, her site promotes a song from the album called “What I Cannot Change.” Coincidence? Not sure, but Us Weekly sure does have the proof. The celebrity magazine obtained photos and surveillance footage of the duo dining at a sushi restaurant in Laguna Beach, Calif. that exposes Rimes and Cibrian engaging in some hand-holding as well as finger and face-sucking.
Perhaps not everything is always black and white, but sadly for them that video doesn’t seem to contain a whole lot of gray area.
