The 2010 Country Megaticket

Summer is in the air when the Modern Trailers Sales 2010 Country Megaticket is on sale. 95.5 WFMS announced Monday morning at 7:20 a.m. the lineup for the Megaticket sales. The lineup at Verizon Wireless Music Center is going to be a good one and it starts early around track time.

Sunday, May 23rd it kicks off with the Country Throwdown 2010. The opening acts are all up and coming or have already released hits such as Emily West, Jonathan Singleton and The Grove, Ryan Bingham, Heidi Newfield and The Lost Trailers. Followed by Eric Church whose newest hit “Hell on the Heart” is climbing the Country charts. Along side him a band well known in Texas from the Red Dirt Scene who hit Nashville last year is the Eli Young Band. The top four acts in this lineup however would be Little Big Town, Jack Ingram, Jamey Johnson and Montgomery Gentry. We all know Jamey Johnson for his hit “In Color” that won Song of the Year for the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Awards. This concert in itself is worth buying the ticket but there are much more artist worthy of seeing.

Saturday, June 5th Darius Rucker opens for Brad Paisley on what should be an unforgettable night. Darius Rucker is known for being the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish before he turned Country. He has already had three number 1 hits and his Country album hit number 1 on the charts also. Brad Paisley took the stage last year at Verizon and gave what was one of his best concerts Indy has seen. Nothing less should be expected from him on this tour either.

Thursday, June 17th  Tim McGraw and his Southern Voice tour will hit the stage. Love and Theft will open for Tim but not before Lady Antebellum gets their chance. Lady Antebellum might steal the show since both of their albums have hit number 1 and their latest “Need You Now” was just released last month January 26th. With this chart climbing trio they have lots to offer to the Country music world and will do nothing but continue with success. Tim has been absent from the Country music stage for the past few months doing acting in such movies as “The Blind Side” and his upcoming film role in a movie called “Love Let Me Down.” If Tim’s acting continues as strong as his tour were in for a show on stage and on the big screen.

Friday, July 16th will be a day to mark down in the history books for country music fans. Gary Allan will open for Brooks & Dunn on their last tour together. Since their debut in 1991 this smashing duo has decided to throw in the towel and retire. Brooks & Dunn should leave the crowd speechless  performing some of their top hits and leaving Indy with something to remember.

Saturday, August 28th Toby Keith will be back to perform. His song ”Cryin’ For Me (Wayman’s Song)”  is climbing the charts and is special to Hoosiers. Wayman Tisdale was not only an NBA basketball player but was also a smooth jazz bass guitarist. Wayman played for the Indiana Pacers from 1985-1989 and also won a gold medal on the U.S. Olympic basketball team in 1984 with Coach Bobby Knight. Toby Keith was a good friend of Wayman’s and wrote the chart climber for him after he died from complications of cancer. Toby will rock Verizon as the last concert of the summer and will honor Wayman while doing it.

You can buy your Megatickets here ranging from the Lawn Package to the Gold Package offered.
