I recently went to the Lucinda Williams show at the Vogue, now I must admit that Lucinda isn’t necessarily my cup of tea, but I do enjoy some of her music so I was excited to see what her live show was like, and it was interesting to say the least.   The atmosphere was unlike any concert experience I have ever been to being that most of the people there were over 40 and a good deal of them closer... 

Pretty Lights recently came through town, and I was privileged enough to be able to see him.  The show was so mind blowing I had to take these last couple of days to collect my thoughts, but at last I was able to remember my IndyConcerts log in information, and here I am ready to write my review of the show.  Let me say first of all that the atmosphere was incredible.  Pretty Lights certainly lived...

One of my favorite bands of all time is playing Spencers Stadium Tavern this Thursday.  Philadelphia based roots music all stars Hoots and Hellmouth are coming int0 town.  Maybe you haven’t heard of these alt-country pioneers but there’s no better time to come on down and check out some great tunes and enjoy a great environment.  Hoots... 

Like the title suggests The Emerson will host Miss May I, The Chariot, Pierce The Veil, and Bullet for Pretty Boy.  While I don’t know much about Miss May I, and Bullet for Pretty Boy. I am a huge fan of both The Chariot and Pierce the Veil.  If ever you wanted to go to a show that would sum up modern day alternative music this it.  these bands range from pop punk all the way to metal, hardcore... 

recently I attended the DREDG show at the Earth House. DREDG is a band that I feel gets far less credit then they deserve, but have still managed to carve out a niche for themselves.  I admit I was surprised both that DREDG was playing that particular venue, and at the venue itself.  The Earth House is one great sounding venue.  It seemed like the acoustic properties were constructed specifically...
