Lamb of God-Resolution
Lamb of God sets out to show what true Metal should strive for today. These guys have given all of the others in their genre a lot of work to do since they have raised the bar. There’s a hint of southern rock buried into hard Metal riffs, rhythms, and ever changing beats. Resolution is a true show of the band’s progression. This can very well be the best work they have put out to date.

Album Review: The Black Keys, “El Camino”
Making minivans cool again... or were they ever?
I’ve heard a lot about The Black Keys over the past couple years. I remember seeing them on the 2010 Lollapalooza line-up and thinking, “Who are The Black Keys, again?” And with them stopping in Indianapolis on March 16 during their upcoming tour, a lot of people have asked me if I’m going. But, once again, I found myself dumbfounded. Why have...
Pioneers First Full Length Album is Out!
Pioneers self titled debut album hit the Itunes metaphorical shelves at 12 am this morning. I had the pleasure of receiving the album early. As did people who attended Pioneers release party. Anyone who was a News from Verona fan and loved their NFV, I think will walk away from this album satisfied.
The album over-all shows a much more solid and matured band in Pioneer. It was exactly what I expected...
An Album Review: They’ve Shot Flanigan-”The Outlaw”
“I do like the storytelling style of lyrics. Lyrics that have a purpose. Not just expressing a feeling. I’m very against sort of, feeling oriented lyrics that are just about “oh my heart” this, “i feel this way,” you know, “it’s a bad day” (laughs). You’d be surprised how many songs, really that’s all it is. Even if it’s like a little more artistic than that.”-Adam...
Late Nite Reading Follows Formula…Unfortunately
It is hard to deny that, for those of reputable musical taste, admitting to liking anything that remotely resembles pop-punk is bound to seriously damage a person’s journalistic reputation. Regardless, I was determined to listen to Late Nite Reading’s latest, the Dedicated to Deadlines EP, and give it an unbiased and fair review. Now that my intentions have been made public, the EP offered no...
An Album Review: Don’t Call It A Comeback-”Something Worth Fighting For”
“Should I stay or should I go?”-The Cure
The all-ages scene is growing more and more every day, and more and more, there’s a public eager to gobble up every “super/indie/neo/hxc” act they can find on their Spotify app.
Yet despite that, there are a few lingering questions amongst them:
Is this band here to stay? Is this a band that’s find just playing to...
An Album Review: Presomnia-”Lucid Aggression”
“…’lucid’ being in control of a dream (and), ‘aggression’ is something that you can’t really control, so you’re kind of stuck in that middle zone which is the essence of what Presomnia is.“-Shane Nelms of Presomnia
But for a while, it looked like this dream wasn’t happening.
The guys in Presomnia have seen more in their three-year existence than...
Terra Lightfoot-debut album review
You will soon be treated to a new artist. Her name is Terra Lightfoot a 25 year old singer, songwriter, and musician from Canada. On September 13th her self-titled album from Sonic Unyon Records will be released. The album ranges as a folk, country and acoustic ensemble. Terra has had a few ventures in other projects during her development. They definitely set the tone for where the artist has stemmed...
Hawthorn Heights hits Indy Next Friday but First a Review of their new EP Hate
Hawthorn Heights reign from Ohio. They made a name from themselves in 2004 and 2006 with their first two studio albums, The Silence in Black and White and If Only you were Lonely. Their Fourth studio album was well received and landed the band in the Top 50 on Billboards 200. Now the band has released their fifth studio album and is ready to hit the road touring across the country, including...
An Album Review: The Devil Wears Prada-”Dead Throne”
Maturity: embraced by few and feared by millions more.
Much has happened since six kids got together and started playing shows around Ohio under the name “The Devil Wears Prada” (which for the record, has nothing to do with the novel or movie of the same name, but rather, it refers to an anti-materialistic meaning relating to their religious beliefs). In the time they’ve gone...
