Lil Wayne heads to jail
No dental emergency nor courthouse fire can save Lil Wayne now. The rapper was sentenced to one year in jail and began serving his time immediately following the court hearing today.
Wayne will serve his sentence at Rikers Island jail in New York. He was arrested in July 2007 for carrying a loaded .40 caliber semiautomatic gun on his tour bus.
“He knew what he had to do, and he’s doing...

American Idol: Top 12 Guys Perform
It was the boys’ turn last night on American Idol and for the most part, it wasn’t pretty. I had high expectations for this crew of men and most of them let me down. There were some surprises, though. Simon wore a button down and Ellen was more critical of the performances ( it was good to see that she doesn’t love just anybody). But let’s get down to business.

Jennifer Lopez splits with label
Jenny is going to have to find a new block … for her record that is. Lopez announced that she has split from Sony/Epic, her record label of more than a decade.
Lopez released her debut album On The 6 in 1999 that went on to sell more than three million records. She went on to release several other records that had disappointing record sales. Her latest album, Love? was to be released by...
American Idol: Top 12 girls perform
Last night the ladies of American Idol took the stage for the first time this season and the results were lackluster for the hype of the women’s talent this season. My early favorites tend to be on the men’s side, but now that I’ve seen the girls perform, I can honestly say I’m excited about a few.
If you watched last night, you may have noticed something that differs from...

Jay-z not a fan of “We Are The World” remake
Jay-z is not a fan of classic remakes and “We Are The World” is no exception. The Michael Jackson/Lionel Richie/Quincy Jones collaboration, which originally debuted in 1985 as a charity song for Africa, was remade and debuted during the Olympic opening ceremonies.
“I know everybody is gonna take this wrong: ‘We Are the World,’ I love it, and I understand the point and...

Lil Wayne to be sentenced today
My favorite martian Lil Wayne will be sentenced this afternoon for gun possession charges. His sentence is part of a plea bargain that reduced jail time from 15 years to just one. With good behavior, Wayne may only serve about eight months.
Wayne is expected to begin serving his sentence immediately after his sentencing hearing. He will serve his time in the New York City jail system, the same that...
