This Friday, September 3rd at the Melody Inn will be the scene of what is sure to be a head-banging, arm-flailing good time.  Local Indianapolis punk/hardcore rockers About The Fire will be throwing down for the band’s last show.  They will be supported by Maravich, Off Balance and Sex Before Marriage.  Tickets are $7 and the doors open at 9pm.  About The Fire features current and ex members of Illithed, Burn It Down, Upheaval, Better Off Dead, 7 Degrees From Center and Eyes of Jade, but according to their website sound nothing like any of these bands.  About The Fire claims Samiam as their main influence, but are described as having a more melodic heavy rock sound.  I have to admit I have never heard of About The Fire, but they have shared a bill with some great mainstream heavy rock acts like Senses Fail and My Chemical Romance.  If heavy, driving, melodic punk is your thing, then Melody Inn is the place to be this Friday night.
