Cari Ray’s soul searing voice will be at Locals Only this Saturday with her band The Loaners to perform head turning tracks that will stop the audience right where they are.
Having always had a passion for singing and songwritting, Cari Ray has spent her whole life feeding that inspiration which conitnually drives her to write such raw and real music. An inspiration which she has pinpointed down to being the “human condition”, stating in an interview with Jennifer Hershberger that if you “get too specific [then] the song is self-indulgent. Boil your own experience down to a common denominator of the human experience and the listener can put his or herself in the story.” This ability to create songs that allow the audience to put themselves in her story is so enlightening that people can’t help but be drawn in by her talent.
However Cari Ray will not be the only performer reeling you in this Saturday 9pm at Locals Only. Along with her will also be her band The Loaners; made up of Jen Edds, Rita Keith, Sue Lawhead, Steve Brunner, Bryan Headrick and Scott Herider. Together they string together notes to bring birth to you tunes that range between Americana, folk and alt country in order to keep you entranced the entire performace.
