…Of which I can only think of one at this moment: Keith Urban. Singing in the country accent, but talking in the Aussie accent, the singer of songs like “Somebody Like You,” “Makin’ Memories of Us,” and “Sweet Thing” has been breaking hearts of women for almost more than a decade now. Some women might like to get even, but even we know they would just like to hear him sing to them one more time.
The husband of movie star Nicole Kidman (I can hear the moans from women across Indiana right now as they read this), and more importantly – Grammy Award Winner, is once again touring in 2010, and he’s making his rounds through the fairgrounds. That’s right, the country music heartthrob will again be stopping at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand at the Indiana State Fair on August 14th for his Summer Lovin’ Tour. Urban will also be coming with Special Guest Kris Allen.
So – Ladies – Get yourselves to Ticketmaster so you can score tickets for your own personal night of Eye Candy. And guys – get over to Ticketmaster to surprise your lady, because Trust me, it’s gonna score you some great brownie points if you do.

Keith is so much more than eye candy!!!! His guitar skills are phenomenal and his energy onstage is unmatched. He is generous to his fans and always gives us the performance of his life. Yes, he is hot but that’s not what gets fans coming back time and time again. I wouldn’t be coming to Indy all the way from Dallas just to see a good looking man. If you like his songs on the radio at all, you will love him live. Men who go see him leave being as big a fan as their ladies.
Don’t forget to mention 3Union. These guys will be playing before Kris Allen and are from right here in the Circle City. They have been touring all over the world playing their music for people. They have a sound that throws them in the mix with guys from Warped Tour, so this placement surprises me. But Kris Allen does not fit Keith Urban what so ever either. Country meets rock meet Christian rock. It will be a great night. I am looking forward to covering this show and throwing my feedback from the boys of 3Union. Give some of these Hoosier boys some credit! Are you going to the show?
@Kim – I’ve heard nothing but great things about his show. However, I haven’t heard much from him since I’ve just been getting back in the country scene in the last year. What I have heard from him I’ve greatly liked. The inspiration for this preview came from my own girlfriend and other female friends when I told them I might be covering the show. It’s no where near a diss on him personally by any means.
@Ricky Potts – I seriously did about 30 minutes of research trying to find information online about this concert and the only thing I found that wasn’t someone trying to sell me a quick ticket was on the actual State Fair website. As far as going, nothing is for certain yet, but if I do go, you’ll see the review by me up the Monday following the show!

Ricky Potts, Kris Allen does not sing Christian Rock. He is Pop/Rock/Soul. Actually Kris & Keith have a total of 8 shows they are playing together. They have actually become really good friends. You may want to go out to youtube and look up the Kris & Keith duet of “Boys of Summer” they usually do it when they are in concert together. Actually, since Kris is from Arkansas. I would say he is a good fit for Keith’s show. He is a country boy at heart.
