Along with my current favorites, the Beach Fossils, Small Black will be playing at the Bishop tomorrow night in Bloomington. Originally from Long Island, Small Black is a two-man troop with an eclectic yet enticingly under-produced sound, much like that of the Beach Fossils. “Despicable Dogs” was featured on Pitchfork’s The Playlist last August, and the boys have not slowed down since. This past spring they performed at SXSW and have recently released a music video for the single “Bad Lover.” Sure to be a spitfire performance, Small Black w/ the Beach Fossils will rock the Bishop.
