Nashville recording artist and East Central Indiana native Corey Cox has announced a Dec. 8 show at 12th & Porter in Nashville as part of the legendary Billy Block Show.
“I am extremely excited and honored to play in Nashville as part of The Billy Block Show,” Cox says. “As a fan of country music, I know the history and tradition of this showcase. Everyone in the band and on our team is appreciative of this opportunity.”
Cox is slated to perform a 45-minute set beginning at 7 p.m. The performance will also be streamed live online at www.billyblock.com. More information on 12th & Porter is available a twww.12thandporterlive.com.
The Billy Block Show Concert Series is Nashville’s premier and longest-running music showcase. Block has been tabbed as one of the most important promoters of new country talent, spotting and raising the profile of new talent through his radio show, live concert series and television shows.
Block has been instrumental in helping some of country music’s biggest stars such as Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Big & Rich, Keith Anderson, Sara Evans, Trisha Yearwood and more. All have been a part of Billy Block’s weekly concert series, radio shows and television shows over the past 12 years.
Cox is a rising country singer/songwriter born and raised in Markleville, Indiana.
Since forming his first band just a few short years ago, Cox has packed many clubs and venues. His path to success has recently included stops across the Midwest and opening for several national acts such as Diamond Rio and Emerson Drive.
Cox recently recorded and released his first, self-titled album containing 13 songs – 11 of which he wrote or co-wrote. The majority of songs were produced by Dane Clark, a legendary musician, singer, songwriter and drummer in the John Mellencamp band.
The album also contains three songs which were produced in Nashville by Dave McAfee, who plays drums in Toby Keith’s “Easy Money Band”.
