Here We Go Magic, White Rabbits Tour Indy

Here We Go Magic and White Rabbits will be teaming up for a spring tour and will be making stop here in Indy on April 26 at Radio Radio. This spring tour will be a nice warm up for both groups, afterward they will go on separate touring stints with some Indie heavyweights. Here We Go Magic will be opening for the New Pornographers for month of May and will also be making an appearance at the Pitchfork Music Festival. White Rabbits will be playing one date with the Flaming Lips, the Dead Weather, and Minus the Bear. If your in the Kansas City area I would look into that show.

Here We Go Magic is an underrated group singer-songwriters led by Luke Temple. You may have heard them and just not known it. If they have any popularity at all, it’s more than likely a product of  their music being featured in episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy”. The groups debut album was released a year ago this month, with a follow up due sometime this year.

White Rabbits is a six piece band based out of Indie Rock central, better known as Brooklyn, NY. The energetic band has two albums to their name,”Fort Nightly” released in 2007 and “It’s Frightening” in 2009. The latter album was produced by Britt Daniel of Spoon fame. Whenever your associated with a band the likes of Spoon, only good things can happen. Those good things coming in the form of several touring stints with said band. But this is a really great tour featuring two lesser known but stellar Indie bands.

This is unrelated but I would like to extend an apology to Yeasayer for the album review I did last week. You can view it here. I wasn’t very kind to the album upon first listen and had nothing good to say about it. Well I will be the first to admit I’m wrong and here is a case in which I was wrong. I have been listening to much of the album recently and it has had a chance to grow on me. It’s a step in a new direction for the group that I have now come to embrace and enjoy. With this further listening and digesting I would now give the album a solid 7/10 a much more respectable grade than the failing grade I gave it in the review. I apologize for my egregious error and I hope to be back on the Yeasayer Christmas Card list very soon. I hope you accept my apology guys.
