Round 2!!! of the 8 Seconds Saloon and 97.1 Hank FM Counrty Battle of the Bands happens this Friday, 4/24/09. Like we said before, what better place to have a country battle of the bands than only Indy‘s best country bar 8 Seconds Saloon, located on Indy‘s west side, at 111 North Lynhurst. But you know what makes this bar so great is that you can get Line Dancing lessons one night and see one of the next upcoming amazing Rock or Country bands in Indiana the next, and then every once in a while see a kick ass national touring artist whose new album you just bought the day before. Truely an awesome place to be.
Ok we have three dates left for this country battle of the bands: April 24th, May 8th, then Finals on May 29th. For those of you that don’t know the top bands from Round 1 will advance to the Finals and receive at least 1 regular Saturday Night Booking. The winning band will be booked for New Years Eve, along with regular bookings at 8 Seconds Saloon. The winning band will also be featured at 2 Hank FM events throughout the coming year, and get to perform an acoustic song of their choice, Live on 97.1 Hank FM!
The winners from Round 1 of the Battle of the Bands was: Blue River Band, Red Eye Max, and Ryan Caudill & Country Kross Roads. Whatever you do, do not miss the 2nd round of this Country Battle of the Bands, it is going to incredibly fun.
