Indianapolis Concert: Owl City at the Murat Egyptian Room 1/24/10

Owl City is coming to Indianapolis, he will be at the Murat Egyptian Room on 1/24/10. If  you don’t know Owl City is actually just one guy, and to be honest I hated the song “Fireflies“. I thought it was totally lame, buuttt the more I listen to it the more I started to grow on me. So I will admit that I’m a little excited to see him in concert.

Owl City is an American synthpop musical project by Adam Young. Young started out making music in his parents’ basement in Owatonna, Minnesota which he claims is a result of his insomnia. Young’s influences are disco and European electronic music. After two independent albums, Owl City gained mainstream popularity from this year’s major label debut album Ocean Eyes, which spawned the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit single “Fireflies“. “Fireflies” topped the US and Canadian charts and became the most-downloaded song on iTunes in the US, and the album Ocean Eyes reached the top ten on the US album charts and topped the US electronic charts. Ocean Eyes also reached Amazon MP3′s top 10 most downloaded album list. By December of this year, it was certified Gold in the United States.

The concert starts at 7:30pm and Live Nation is saying tickets are unavailable online. Which makes no sense to me, so I would just contact the Murat Egyptian Room for ticket info. Here is the phone number for you – (317) 231-0000.

The tickets are probably sold out. He has sold out almost every date on his tour so far.
