Indianapolis Concert: Titus Andronicus at Radio Radio April 20th

Indie-rockers Titus Andronicus will hit the road this spring for a headlining tour in support of the band’s sophomore studio effort, “The Monitor.”

The New Jersey crew kicks off the trek with a March 20 appearance in Austin, TX, as part of the South by Southwest festival. The first headlining date on the trip comes a day later in El Paso, TX, launching a 30-city run that extends through an April 24 show in Hoboken, NJ.

Titus Andronicus will be in Indianapolis at Radio Radio on April 2oth. You don’t want to miss them. Full Tour Dates are below.

“The Monitor,” the band’s follow-up to its 2008 debut, “The Airing of Grievances,” is due out March 9 on XL Recordings. The set will feature guest appearances by members of Ponytail, Vivian Girls and The Hold Steady, among other acts.

According to singer Patrick Stickles, the new record is something of a concept album about the Civil War.

“It doesn’t take place in olden times, nor does it necessarily feature any characters that participated in that conflict,” Stickles said in a press release. “Really, it is a record about how the conflicts that led our nation into that great calamity remain unresolved, and the effect that this ongoing division has on our personal relationships and our behavior and how they’re all out to get us (or maybe not?) and yadda yadda yadda.”‘
