Train is coming to Indianapolis! On 3/31/10 Train will be in concert at the Murat Egyptian Room. The concert will start around 7:30pm and tickets are about $30. Click below for tickets. Also tour dates are below as well. The band currently comprises of a core trio of Patrick Monahan (lead vocalist), Jimmy Stafford (lead guitarist) and Scott Underwood (drummer).

Train achieved mainstream success with their debut album, Train, which was released in 1998. Their second album, Drops of Jupiter (2001) brought the band massive popularity. The lead single from the album, “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” was an international hit and won two Grammy Awards in 2002. The album was certified double platinum in the United States and Canada and remains the band’s best-selling album to date. After the unsuccessful third album Train then went on a three-year hiatus.

Train re-united and released their fifth studio album, Save Me San Francisco in 2009. The first single from the album, “Hey, Soul Sister” charted in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, their first song to do so in nine years and is the band’s second top ten hit, after “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)”. The success of “Hey, Soul Sister” also marks Train’s comeback to the mainstream.
