Anyone who went to May Day last weekend may have noticed a guy walking around with a huge sign advertising cheap tickets to future summer concerts at Verizon. Aside from the usual Creed or Vans Warped Tour tickets, one stuck out at the bottom of the list:
It read “X-Fest: 9/11″
X-Fest already? We’re not even all the way through May Day yet. Prior to Three Days Grace’s performance, the X103 staff came out to thank the crowd for coming before unveiling a few more surprises. One was a one-second freak-out dedicated to the late Paul Gray. The other was something to make more sense of the guy selling tickets around the crowded amphitheater:

Okay, so now all we know is it’ll be held on September 11, but who will be there? Announced to be at the annual end-of-summer concert from Verizon Wireless Music Center includes Buckcherry, Seether, Sublime, Drowning Pool and Dirty Heads.
If that weren’t enough, two more were announced after their X-Fest page was launched. Also joining in the fun is Papa Roach and Haste The Day. Tickets will run you anywhere between $19.50-68. You can find those here.
Buckcherry will be set to release their fifth album “All Night Long” August 3. Just in time for their X-Fest appearance. Others releasing new music before the show include Haste The Day (“Attack of the Wolf King” June 29), and Papa Roach (“Time For Annihilation,” their first live album featuring five new studio songs. This is set for a June 21 release).

X-fest is a joke. I was at the very first one when Weezer, Bush, Sponge, Quicksand, Letters to Cleo, The Toadies and many more awesome bands played. It’s just a bunch of no talent ass clowns and douchebags now.

X 103 plays crap they aren’t anywhere near alternative Indy has zero decent radio stations..its a dam shame
I wouldn’t go that far… but it is primarily music for mall rockers. Not my scene really, although they do have a good band there now and then.

Dirty heads were one of the better bands and Seether both rocked out . I saw them from the 4 row everybody loved Dirty Heads sang right with them .

I am pretty sure it looks lame as fuck. I hate X Fest. The bands are crappy and the only good one there this year is Sublime. Also, I would prefer not to get high on the fumes and smoke there.

I am super concerned how sublime is gonna do with a different singer. Unless they figured out a way to raise the dead, it is gonna be a huge dissapointment.
my sister saw sublime earlier this year n she said that dude nailed it n they fuckin rocked, will not be dissapointed to see them so if ura sublime fan snag ur tickets n meet me there! also heard pappa roach n seether rock too.

So i went to mayday, & it freakin rocked!, i didnt kno many songs because i normally dont listen to that type of music, but i still had a blast And xfest will be even better cus i know some of the bands!
The show will rock as a whole….BUT….X103 has blown massive sack for about 5 years now lol I am so tired of the chili peppers….dude play something good!
