Indianapolis, September 2nd, 2009 – The Indy Jazz Fest Education program is in full swing. On Thursday, September 3rd, the Indy Jazz Fest Band takes up residence at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum’s Lilly Theater for the Target Free Family Night. The band will perform three 30-minute sets starting at 4:15pm.

The performances at the Children’s Museum continues the pledge the Indy Jazz Fest has made to provide year-round educational programs throughout the city of Indianapolis. The Indy Jazz Fest Band will present a multi-media performance spotlighting famous hoosiers who have played an important role in the development of jazz throughout jazz history.

This educational concert at The Children’s Museum is just one of many performances that are scheduled to happen before the Indy Jazz Fest begins on September 19th and runs through September 27th.
