Lady Gaga, ex in court battle

Lady Gaga’s ex-producer/ex-boyfriend, Rob Fusari, is suing the “Bad Romance” singer claiming that she owes him merchandising fees and royalties from co-writing four songs on The Fame as well as helping create her name. Fusari said that Gaga breached a contract they had together back in 2006. He is seeking $30 million.

Gaga is now countersuing with her own claim that she was tricked into signing a deal that provided him with “unlawful compensation.” According to Gaga’s suit, the contract was “structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose — to provide to the defendants unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents.”

Gaga is also claiming that Fusari took advantage of an “inexperienced performing artist” by manipulating her into signing a contract that was “predatory and financially abusive.”

She is seeking that the lawsuit be thrown out as well as claiming damages from Fusari. This suit gives a whole new meaning to bad romance. You don’t mess with the Gaga and get away with it.

And, just in case you haven’t seen the gloriousness that is Gaga’s official Telephone music video featuring Beyonce, here it is.
