“We’re going out tonight
To kick out every light
Take anything we want
Drink everything in sight
We’ll go until the world stops turning
While we burn it to the ground tonight”-Nickelback (“Burn It To the Ground”)
With six albums and over 30 million records sold worldwide, Canadian rock quartet Nickelback has become one of the most commercially-successful bands of this generation (hey, in the last decade they’re the 11th best selling musical act and only the second best selling foreign act next to The Beatles).
Now from the people who brought you such hits like “How You Remind Me,” “Gotta Be Somebody,” “Too Bad,” “Savin’ Me,” “Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good,” and many more, comes a world tour making its way to Noblesville’s Verizon Wireless Music Center this Saturday (May 22) as part of the 3rd leg of its North American trek.
This, of course, refers to Nickelback’s Dark Horse Tour, named after their latest effort “Dark Horse,” which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and staying in the top 100 for 77 consecutive weeks. If this weren’t enough to get you to Verizon this weekend, there’s more. Joining them is a virtual who’s who of modern rock heavyweights, featuring Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, and Sick Puppies. It’s a night of loud rock ‘n roll, and if Nickelback lives up to that promise made in “Burn It To the Ground,” this could be the summer concert to go to.
