Rib fiends will have approximately 2,460 minutes during the four-day feast to savor enough ribs to hold them over until next year’s Indianapolis Rib America Festival!
- Master Grillers from across the United States will have a “bone to pick” over whose ribs are the best.
- 637,000 watts of electricity will be used to keep the Budweiser Music Stage pumping with live music throughout the Indianapolis Rib America festivities.
- 253,000 moist towelettes will wipe the sauce from sloppy fingers and faces.
- Thousands of rib lovers will be crawling across the grounds in search of their favorite BBQ.
- An estimated 6,740,000 bones have been served to rib lovers at the Indianapolis Rib America Festivals over the years!
- 444,600 bones will be discarded—stretching 42 miles if placed bone-to-bone.
- 1,500 gallons of barbecue sauce will stick to everyone’s ribs.
- 19 awesome bands and artists will perform for screaming fans at the 2010 Indianapolis Rib America Festival.
The 15th annual Rib America Festival returns to downtown Indianapolis September 3-6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. daily. The event is held at Military Park at the crossing of New York and West Streets in downtown Indianapolis. The Rib America Festival is a fun filled event featuring award winning barbeque, music, and more! 2010 sponsors for the event include Budweiser, Coca-Cola, IUPUI, Bright House Networks, KeyBank, Germ-X, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, Modern Trailer Sales, Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis, Evan Williams – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Sobieski Vodka, Sutter Home Family Vineyards and Finest Call – Premium Cocktail Mixes. Ticket Information: FREE ADMISSION before 5:00 p.m. on Friday & before 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Admission charge is ONLY $5.00 (which includes the concerts) after 5:00 p.m. on Friday and after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Children 12 & under are free.
