Monte Montgomery everyone! He is the one they call the best acoustic guitar player, probably because he won that award at the SXSW Festival’s Austin Music Awards not once….not twice….but seven times, let me repeat, he won the “Best Acoustic Guitar Player” award seven times in a row (1998-2004), and he’s the only artist to ever do that. That’s just the tip of the ice berg, he’s won many other awards and been featured in hand-fulls of magazines. Well, Mr. Montgomery will performing this evening at the Music Mill come 8:30pm. Monte hit it big when he appeared on PBS’s Austin City Limits and recorded a five song set with former band memebers Chris Maresh and Phil Bass. And its a good thing he had his claim to fame cause to watch this guy play is like watching the most gorgeous person in the world take their clothes off, its a thing of beauty, I’d say check it out, this guys is a must see.
