So it seems that its been established by the universe that Kanye is the ultimate self-absorbed, attention seeking douche bag. Though this little stunt of his has been played off by Kanye reps from several different angles including the one that claimed he did what he did from “the pain of his mother’s death.”
Uhh….no.
This was, in my opinion, another one of his classless ploys for attention-a typical desperate Hollywood publicity. His past antics have included a similiar rant at the MTV EMA’s in 2006, complaining about how expensive his video was and that if it didn’t win, the show “loses all credibility.” He also made that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” comment on the Hurricane Relief telethon hosted by the Red Cross. Always a classy one, that Kanye West.
But now we wonder, what about Taylor?
The girl is young and incredibly successful. This event is only a blip in the drama that is sure to come-cute as she is, she IS in the music business. This incident though, has been just as much a publicity magnet for her as it has been for Kanye. Moments after the incident, people were taking sides-mostly WITH Taylor. Kanye, who was to perform at Jay Leno’s premiere for his new primetime show, used the opportunity to apologize on national television. Taylor Swift is next to appear on The View…Perfect choice: The six women can bash Kanye together turning moms and housewives everywhere into Taylor Swift fans. What kind of monster would do that to a sweet, innocent child. In my opinion, Taylor Swift is lucky that Kanye targeted her for this stunt-shes getting more attention and support than shes ever had before…whether people like her music or not!
…Now if only Oprah would sympathize and ask Taylor to be on her show…
