New Kids on the Block have announced plans to continue their nationwide comeback with the “Full Service Tour,” which is scheduled to hit major markets this summer. The now-adult boy band will kick off the new leg May 28 in Atlanta, hitting amphitheaters and arenas in 34 cities from coast to coast through mid-July. A June 21 performance in Toronto in also on the books. The former teen idols have been on the road sporadically since last May, selling out performances nationwide to audiences who still remember the lyrics to their late ’80s and early ’90s hits like “Hangin’ Tough,” “Step by Step” and “You Got It (The Right Stuff).”
“You want more? You get more! You want Full Service? You get Full Service!” frontman Donnie Walhberg posted on the band’s website. The “Full Service” experience will include a performance by JabbawockeeZ, the winners of MTV’s reality showdown “America’s Best Dance Crew,” as well as other special guests. Tickets went on sale April 3, along with VIP packages, which include a backstage BBQ with the pop quintet. NKOTB are supporting last September’s “The Block,” the group’s first studio album in 15 years. Their Full Service tour will make it to Indiana where they will be in concert at Verizon Wireless Music Center, on June 28th. Tickets for that concert are available at LiveNation.com.
