Chris Brown doesn’t remember, then does remember beating Rihanna

As Chris Brown embarks on his “I’m Sorry” tour, it seems as if he’s suffering from a case of selective memory. The anticipated Larry King interview airs tonight, but snippets have been released with a bow-tied clad Brown accompanied by his mother and lawyer in which he claims he can’t remember beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna interjected by a whole lot of “wow’s.”

Today being a new day, it seems his memory has returned. Brown released a statement this morning stating, “Of course I remember what happened” and blamed it on the repetititve questioning.

“The first four times—or how ever many times it was—I gave the same answer—which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night,” said Brown. “I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time—or whatever it was—I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No.’

As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.”

No matter how much he apologizes, the damage is done. Rihanna has a hot new single with Jay-Z and Kanye and reportedly working on a new album that is supposed to be killer. It’s safe to say team Rihanna kicks ass.

Watch the snippet below. It’s like wow. You can watch the interview in its entirety tonight on CNN.
