Grammy’s Michael Jackson tribute to be in 3-D

Break out your 3-D shades, because you’re going to need them if you’re planning on watching the Grammy awards next week. It has been announced that Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Smokey Robinson and Celine Dion will perform a 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson.

Jackson, who is receiving a posthumous lifetime achievement award, planned on featuring a 3-D mini movie to accompany the performance of “Earth Song” during his This Is It tour. The stars will perform this song alongside Jackson’s vocals while the video plays. A portion of this video was shown in the This Is It documentary but not in its entirety.

Target will be distributing 3-D glasses if you so choose to participate. Make sure you stop by and pick some up. This will be the first time 3-D will be featured in an award show telecast.

Michael Jackson’s This Is Itwill be released on DVD and Blu-Ray January 26.
