Hundreds of Lil Wayne’s Rebirth shipped accidentally

As a follow up to my Lil Wayne post yesterday, Christmas came early for about 500 Amazon customers who received the rapper’s six-time delayed album Rebirth by accident this week.

Amazon.com shipped out hundreds of copies to fans who preordered the album. Wayne’s album was recently pushed back from a Dec. 21 release date to Feb. 1, one week before he receives sentencing for gun charges. Wayne is expected to serve one year in prison.

Rebirth will debut Wayne’s rock-music sound, however several songs have been leaked such as “Prom Queen,” “Da Da Da,” “On Fire” and “Hot Revolver” (a personal favorite of mine). “Drop the World,” which I posted yesterday, is the latest to be leaked. With all the exposed songs, it is expected that Wayne will alter the track listing making it entirely possible that the Rebirth album released to fans this week will soon be a collector’s item.

Merry Christmas indeed.

You can listen to Hot Revolver here.:
