IndyConcerts.com – Indianapolis Concert Calendar, Tickets, Reviews, and Interviews

I’m not going to lie…the fact that 93.9 on your FM dial is now being called “i94″ really just makes me think of the highway in Chicago, but I’m coming to terms with it.  If you love pop music like I do, and you haven’t switched the dial from 100.9 Radio Now to 93.9, you’re missing out big time.  I didn’t want to give i94 a shout out from Indyconcerts.com unless I really liked the station, so I’ve been listening for about a month now…and it’s kept my attention.  It’s got everything in the current Top 40 that I love, but it also revisits some recent pop/rock favorites of the last several years as well.

Have no fear – 100.9 is still #1 on my radio preset in my car, but I did give one of my top 6 the boot to make room for i94.  It’s just that good.  While they don’t have a morning drive time personality (yet?), they do have Brittany in the morning and Jeff Andrews for the drive home.  They’re also listing the Billy Bush show on their website, but I haven’t actually heard it (nor could I find i94 listed as one of the stations that airs his program).  So far, the best part about the station for me is their 94-minute music mix that airs in the morning.   I know it’s early, so they don’t have a lot of advertisers yet – making it seem like they’re playing a lot less commercials than everyone else.  And we all love commercial-free radio!  Anyways, that’s my recommendation for the week…tune in to i94, and let me know if you agree!
