Steven Tyler returns to rehab; shocks no one

Steven Tyler has checked into a rehab facility to treat an addiction to painkillers stemming from over 10 years of performance injuries.

It seemed as if it was only a matter of time before this news came to light. The Aerosmith frontman fell off the stage during a performance this summer bringing the band’s  tour to a halt and sparking major drama. Tyler distanced himself from his bandmates and rumors arose that he was quitting Aerosmith to pursue a solo project.

Tyler reportedly has been suffering from orthopedic injuries and has been in chronic pain for a decade. In addition to drug treatment, the singer will need surguries on his knees and feet. Despite Tyler’s long road to recovery, he is hopeful to return to Aerosmith in a rejuvinated state.

“I love Aerosmith,” said Tyler in a statement. “I love performing as the lead singer in Aerosmith. I am grateful for all of the support and love I am receiving and am committed to getting things taken care of.”
