The Acoustic Live Challenge hosted their Finals last night at the Ugly Monkey, down town Indianapolis, and if you ever wanted to see the cream of the crop of talented musicians from Indiana that was the place to be. The Acoustic Live Challenge was hosted by Rob Snodgrass of SEG Productions. Our own Editor in Chief, Barrett Young, has been a judge of this event since it began 10 weeks ago. Barrett said, “The past 10 weeks have been long, but an amazing experience. This is not my first time as a judge of an event like this, but this event in particular stood out as one of the best. Not only did we get to hear and meet new talented musicians from around Indiana, but we all grew together as friends over length of this competition, and in the music world creating those relationships is probably one of the best parts, it was just overall Fantastic.” Barrett went on to say it was probably one of the toughest competitions he’s ever had to judge given the wide range of extremely talented artists.
But in the end one had to walk away with 1st place, Jamie Nichole, the only female artist to make it to the finals. She came out on top over the boys with the highest point total seen in the entire competition. With her 1st place prize she received a huge prize pack, with the prizes including almost all aspects of marketing, promotion, and recording for a successful 2010.
Prize Pack:
SEG Productions: Cash
SEG Productions: Exclusive Bag
Winn Studios: 10 Hours of Studio time
EmpireofMonkeys.com: 1 Hour Photo Shoot and 5 Page Custom Website
Slamology.com: Sunday Night Headliner of the 7th Annual Slamology Car and Truck Show Music Festival $4,000 Marketing package as headliner that will be produced via TV Radio Web and Print Publications and Flyers (Contact: Rob Snodgrass)
