The new music video from local Hip Hop artist, Brad Real, was premiered Saturday night to a capacity crowd at the Fox & Hound Pub & Grille in Indianapolis. “Mumble”, was shot at various locations throughout Indianapolis by Seanie Mic of ParodyRapper.com. I have to give it up to Brad Real for wanting to show off his home town and the recognizable spots around Indy make the video a bit easier to watch, but his kitchen is not one of those spots. Plenty of videos, especially from up and coming rappers, like to use a house party scene because it is cheap and it gets all of your friends in the video. That being said, watching the guy who is on the hook eating a bowl of cereal while you dance in front of your refrigerator doesn’t have quite the same affect. There’s more after the jump, but here’s the video:
The track, “Mumble,” itself was about what you would expect from an up and coming rapper from Indianapolis. Not a whole lot of substance and not the greatest rhymes. I get the feeling Brad Real is not the next Eminem, but I can put him above Vanilla Ice. “Mumble” was produced by Nick J and is featured on “He’s the Jibber, I’m the Jabber”, the upcoming album from Brad Real to be released on 8729 Records. “Mumble” has received airplay throughout the country and even the world. Featured on stations such as 91.9FM in Indianapolis, Hot Mix 90 in Terre Haute, Detour Radio in Detroit, The D-Hour Radio show in Arizona, Shade 45 on SIRIUS Satellite Radio and even the “What’s Up Con Zoel?” Radio Show in Argentina. The EdgeOnline featured the track at this year’s Comic Con in Chicago. The track has also been reviewed on various blogs and websites and is available for free download at www.BradReal.com.
“The song, to me, is in good humor. I’ve never been one to be arrogant with my music, but I did want to poke at the people who have and continue to tell me that I can’t make it in this industry,” stated Brad Real. “The song is fun and Seanie Mic was able to transform that into an amazing video. A lot of the artists that I respect and look up to made cameos in the video, and that’s important. I will always continue to represent Indianapolis to the best of my ability.”
