Last night Idol rocked!  While some of the performances left me wanting more and others made me want to mute my TV, the fact that they were singing some of my favorite songs of all-time made it a great night for music.  After last night, I’d say Scott, Megan and Michael Sarver are all in danger of being eliminated this week.  I think Michael Sarver should have gone home last week, so I’m hopeful...

Man, I loved the show last night.  I’m not sure if it was because I had forgotten just how obsessed I am with Michael Jackson (this has been true for decades now, it’s just been suppressed because he turned into such a weirdo).  Anyway, for the most part, I thought everyone was awesome.  Scott was uber-disappointing with his choice of an unknown song.  Jorge’s song choice was... 

I haven’t heard it yet, but I’m not going to lie.  I can’t wait to get my hands on Kelly Clarkson’s latest album All I Ever Wanted.  It’s Clarkson’s fourth studio album since she claimed the Idol crown in 2002.  The leadoff track – My Life Would Suck Without You – has already spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 – and it’s spent even more time at the top of... 

Well, the results are in America, and this is your top 12.  The judges picks Anoop, Megan Corkrey, and Jasmine (at least I got 2 out of 3 three right!) will combine with America’s picks Jorge, Scott, Danny, roughneck Michael Sarver, Adam Lambert, Kris (Man in the Mirror), 16-year-old Allison, Lil Rounds and Alexis Grace to bring viewers musical awesomeness to your home twice a week for the next... 

So I went back and looked at my previous posts on the Top 36, and now I’ve got my crystal ball out to let you know who I think will make it through tonight…my Wild Card spots go to: Megan Corkery, Tatiyana and Anoop.  Not only do I think they have the vocal ability to get through, I think they add variety to the cast.  Megan has her smoky jazz voice, Tatiyana adds tears and is from Puerto Rico,... 

So last night was bordering on disaster for me.  My top three are Scott, Jorge and Lil Rounds.  These were above and beyond all the other performers, although I thought Ju’Not was a nice surprise.  He’s got a good shot at a wild card I think.  I expect one of those spots to go to Anoop as well.  I’ll give the third to the dark horse (and Alicia Keys look-alike) Felicia Barton.  She’s... 

So in the style of Randy Jackson, let me break it down for you, dog.  I wasn’t feeling anyone last night except Adam Lambert and little redheaded Allison.  There was great music – everything from Coldplay, Michael Jackson, Heart, Corrine Bailey Rae, Sara Bareilles, Tonic and the Stones, but I was missing Danny.  Like I said, I think Adam and Allison are sure things, but all bets are off this...
