Concert Review: He is We, Andrew Allen, Ocean Grove and more at the Emerson
It wasn’t very long ago that I was introduced to He is We. From the first note of Rachel Taylor’s voice coming through the speakers, I fell in love. I was extremely excited to find out that they were coming to town and allowing a couple locals to open for them.
The band set out on tour just 6 shows prior, along with Ocean Grove which contains the backing band of the Jonas Brothers and gem Andrew...

Beyonce reigns supreme as Grammy nominations are released
The stage has been set for music’s biggest night and the competition is stiff. Unfortunately, we had to sit through a schizophrenic telecast of obscure performances (Nick Jonas and the Administration? Really?) and technical gaffs to receive the nominations.
Beyonce leads the pack with 10 nominations while Taylor Swift trails her with 8. The Black Eyed Peas and Kanye West receive 6 nods each,...
Beyonce’s “Video Phone” video premiers
Beyonce’s video for “Video Phone (remix)” featuring Lady Gaga was just released and it’s quite a trip. It’s simple yet complex with dizzying sequences and gun action. Beyonce is nearly unrecognizable in some frames while Lady Gaga is completely toned down and nontheatrical. The song itself is just ok. It doesn’t play to Beyonce’s strengths, but the Lady...
The Upside for Taylor
So it seems that its been established by the universe that Kanye is the ultimate self-absorbed, attention seeking douche bag. Though this little stunt of his has been played off by Kanye reps from several different angles including the one that claimed he did what he did from “the pain of his mother’s death.”
Uhh….no.
This was, in my opinion, another one of his classless ploys...
Kanye West Stands up to Taylor Swift
[Kanye West VMA] If you have not already seen the video you have probably heard about what Kanye West did last night during the acceptance speech of Taylor Swift’s video of the year award on the Video Music Awards presented by MTV. Taylor Swift won the female video of the year and was as shocked as anyone at the decision. In the video, which you can find all over YouTube (maybe) and various news...

Hey Kanye, how could you be so heartless?
It’s official: Kanye West is officially the biggest asshole in the music industry. In case you missed it, West rudely interrupted Taylor Swift’s big (and first) win at the VMAs when she took to the stage to accept the award for Best Female video for “You Belong With Me.”
Kanye grabbed the mic from Swift and exclaimed to a shocked audience how he thought Beyonce was more deserving of the award.
“Hey...

Music News: Beyonce fans fooled by recording hoax
Beyonce haters everywhere are laughing themselves silly after a faux recording of the singer performing her single, “If I Were a Boy” on the Today Show last November hit the Internet. The recording was digitally altered to make it seem as if Beyonce’s performance was rife with tone and pitch problems. Viewers at home heard a very pitch perfect performance by Miss B.
