It wasn’t very long ago that I was introduced to He is We. From the first note of Rachel Taylor’s voice coming through the speakers, I fell in love. Tomorrow night at 8, MTV will host “Hope for Haiti Now,” a telethon featuring some of music’s biggest stars, in an attempt to raise funds for disaster relief in Haiti after last week’s devastating earthquake. The telethon will be shown on all major networks as well as MTV and many other channels, so you should have no trouble finding it — it will be the most widely distributed... 

The stage has been set for music’s biggest night and the competition is stiff. Unfortunately, we had to sit through a schizophrenic telecast  of  obscure performances (Nick Jonas and the Administration? Really?) and technical gaffs to receive the nominations. Beyonce leads the pack with 10 nominations while Taylor Swift trails her with 8. The Black Eyed Peas and Kanye West receive 6 nods each,... 

  Beyonce’s video for “Video Phone (remix)” featuring Lady Gaga was just released and it’s quite a trip. It’s simple yet complex with dizzying sequences and gun action. Beyonce is nearly unrecognizable in some frames while Lady Gaga is completely toned down and nontheatrical. The song itself is just ok. It doesn’t play to Beyonce’s strengths, but the Lady... 

So it seems that its been established by the universe that Kanye is the ultimate self-absorbed, attention seeking douche bag. Though this little stunt of his has been played off by Kanye reps from several different angles including the one that claimed he did what he did from “the pain of his mother’s death.” Uhh….no. This was, in my opinion, another one of his classless ploys...
