Local Metalcore group Ironsides is skyrocketing through the ranks, going from hometown heroes to regional titans. They’ll be playing Warped Tour in Cleveland, and have a new album set to release on July 22 during their show at the ES Jungle in Broad Ripple. Growing up in Washington state, I was surrounded by the influences of punk rock. At an early age I was shown this weird thing call Warped Tour, then in its infancy, with bands from Alkaline Trio to Anti-Flag, Bad Religion to The Casualties, MxPx and N.E.R.D, and even The Starting Line. That was 2002. Those were punk and pop-punk bands. Everywhere you went you could see mohawks, and liberty spikes all... 

When many people think Indianapolis and music, they come up empty. Sure there are plenty of bands from Chicago, Nashville, even Detroit…But Indianapolis? Not so much.
