For 15 years, Rib America Festival has become one of the biggest Labor Day parties around, bringing many to Military Park in downtown Indianapolis for a weekend full of award-winning BBQ, music and more.  Now in its 16th year, the tradition continues. After months of impatient waiting since the lineup was announced, May Day is here at last.  If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to take part in X103′s annual summer kick-off. But before it can begin, there is one other big question that needs to be addressed: When does it start? No worries, for the Indy’s rock radio station revealed the set times for each of the bands... 

X103′s May Day is just 3 days away and I am getting amped are you!?! The line up this year is pretty sick. The show kicks off at 2:30 in the afternoon this Saturday and goes late into the night at the Verizon Wireless Center in Noblesville, Indiana. Ten bands are set to play May Day, and all are ready to rock it out. The Last Good Year, Betta Male, Xero Sum, and Stereo Deluxe will be joining... 

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, the eyes of the world slowly turn their gaze towards Central Indiana. And while some people’s attention will be fixated on the track this Memorial Day Weekend for Carb Day (Friday) and the big race (Sunday), there is an even bigger party just up north of Indy. Summer concert season is always an exciting time, and perhaps no one else hosts... 

It’s that time of the year again. The days are getting longer; the weather is (hopefully) getting warmer; and the city is bracing itself for the biggest party of the summer. And no, this has nothing to do with Carb Day or the big race.  Instead, this has to do with the festivities emanating from Noblesville’s Verizon Wireless Music Center Saturday, May 28. This last Friday, I had the experience to see some of Indiana’s great local bands performing at a show at The Vogue. While I had never heard of the bands before, I went into the night with an open mind on what would be to come from great bands. Jer Gregg opened up the show. I had it on good authority from a friend that this band would not disappoint me, and he was right. Jer Gregg’s set...

One is a former winner of the Indy Scene Battle of the Bands.  One is a former winner of Battle of Birdy’s.  Both dominate the local scene.  So what will happen when these two face off against each other? No, it probably won’t be one of those meetings where the world will explode if you lock both bands in the same room; no, riots probably won’t ensue; and no, it won’t look... 

The band that I am sitting with today truly understands what it takes to put on a rock show. The first time I saw these guys perform was at a battle of the bands put on by the Hard Rock Cafe.
