X-Fest/Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival is right around the corner, and for this years show, they’ll offer more than just a way to see Avenged Sevenfold, Sevendust, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine and more in one convenient, all-day rock show It’s also a day to where someone can live their rock star dreams.  Because for one local band, they’ll be able to do more than... 

On Friday night, The Vollrath will be hosting a benefit concert.  All proceeds of the night will be going to Alabama Red Cross.  Doors open at 7 the bands will start at 8.  The cover is $5. Lazy Hawk Promotions created this event because a staff member has family who live near this spring’s tornadoes in Alabama.  Their family was not affected but they knew people who were.  The goal is to raise... 

I was trolling my Facebook when I saw a post through a friend about Nobody’s Listening, Indianapolis.  They were calling for area bands to submit a song for a cassette compilation.  My curiosity had me sending emails until an interview was arranged.  I met with Dustin Parks (Vocals for Giraffes Eating Lions) and Kelsey Simpson (Drummer for DEEZEN) for the why’s and how’s of their projected... 

The bad news?: this wonderful time of the year we call summertime in Indianapolis won’t last forever. The good news?: X103 is hosting a party so intense that it will surely send our summer concert season out with a bang. Just for a second, let’s flashback to May 28, to when a capacity crowd at Verizon Wireless Music Center heard the exciting news regarding the annual X-Fest show.  Minutes... 

This past Saturday night a little things called May Day went down. In case you haven’t heard of it, each year X103 kicks off the summer with an awesome rock show. This year the lineup consisted of ten bands, and one that was possibly seen as a little unconventional for this type of rock show, She Wants Revenge. Regardless of whether the duo/band would have been better suited playing for My Morning... 

As we close the books on yet another May Day, it’s now time to turn our focus to X103′s annual end-of-summer party. And after you’ve seen this lineup.  Trust me, this is truly not “your f@#king nightmare.” Just minutes before Seether was set to take the stage to close out the evening, the X103 staff came out to thank for coming to the show (including those who braved... 

After months of impatient waiting since the lineup was announced, May Day is here at last.  If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to take part in X103′s annual summer kick-off. But before it can begin, there is one other big question that needs to be addressed: When does it start? No worries, for the Indy’s rock radio station revealed the set times for each of the bands... 

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, the eyes of the world slowly turn their gaze towards Central Indiana. And while some people’s attention will be fixated on the track this Memorial Day Weekend for Carb Day (Friday) and the big race (Sunday), there is an even bigger party just up north of Indy. Summer concert season is always an exciting time, and perhaps no one else hosts... 

It’s that time of the year again. The days are getting longer; the weather is (hopefully) getting warmer; and the city is bracing itself for the biggest party of the summer.
